I was given this phrase by my grandfather, but am not sure if it is correct

it's from a cemetery gate in Palermo, I know what it means, but I am looking for the correct Italian spelling & wording

The proper Italian spelling is:

Corri quanto vuoi ma qui t'aspetto

Run as much as you like but I await you here.

Very imaginative for a cemetery!!!

Not exact but it's something like;

You run and return, I will be waiting.

Probably means: Go and when you come back, I will be here.
