You can see/feel tumors growing, but YOU won't know for sure what they are or if they're cancerous unless you go to the doctor.

If you suspect something like cancer then don't sit in here and wait to see what you want to hear, get ya a-s-s to the doctors asap
Let me tell you something. Somebody close to my heart looked a picture of health this time last year, now has weeks to live due to cancer.
If there is a slim chance you have cancer, you have a greater chance of survival by getting seen to asap-my terminally ill relative didn't go for months-saw himself fading away but either through fear or stubborness left it too late

My prayers are with you and I hope it isn't the big C
God Bless You!
Now get on the phone and make an appointment to get checked out-don't panic, you're making a self diagnosis, so many others things it could be but don't take the chance

You can't know that you have don't or do have cancer without going to the doctor. You need to get blood work and CT, MRI and bone scans, ultrasounds, X-rays, PET scans, Nucler Med stuff all depending on the type of symptoms that you have and the kind of cancer that the doctor suspects you have. Happy testing.

Roughly, cancer symptoms can be divided into three groups:

Local symptoms: unusual lumps or swelling (tumor), hemorrhage (bleeding), pain and/or ulceration. Compression of surrounding tissues may cause symptoms such as jaundice.
Symptoms of metastasis (spreading): enlarged lymph nodes, cough and hemoptysis, hepatomegaly (enlarged liver), bone pain, fracture of affected bones and neurological symptoms. Although advanced cancer may cause pain, it is often not the first symptom.
Systemic symptoms: weight loss, poor appetite and cachexia (wasting), excessive sweating (night sweats), anemia and specific paraneoplastic phenomena, i.e. specific conditions that are due to an active cancer, such as thrombosis or hormonal changes.
Every single item in the above list can be caused by a variety of conditions (a list of which is referred to as the differential diagnosis). Cancer may be a common or uncommon cause of each item.
Goodluck man.

In response to some of the other answers, you can't always see or feel a tumor growing. Sometimes you don't have any symptoms until the cancer is in an advanced stage. Then it is much harder to treat. I don't mean to scare you, but the sooner you get an answer, the better. Good luck!

You have no clue if you have it until you are tested...many of the symptoms can be the same as many other diseases...differential diagnosis....and then theres some cancers that dont really have symptoms...they can be something as vague as just being tired...alot of times cancer is found when the patient has a complaint of something minor that wont go away for awhile...so your best bet is to go to your doc to see what they think and if it is cancer then they will refer you to a specialist..oncologist.....

it is not advisable to sit at home going i think i have cancer. the more the idea grows in your head....

just go to any old doctor and have a biopsy. they cut a snip off and send it for tests.

depending what kind of cancer it is, like i thought i had skin cancer and i went on the net and looked up pics of it and i had my self CONVINCED i had it. it's gone away now (which is an anti-symptom)
but the head worms you'll give your self with self diaognosis is not worth it.
read up about what you think you might have signs symptoms causes, and then go to the doctor. or just go to the docter dude!

Some of the early warning signs are an unusual lump or swelling, a sudden loss of weight and fatique, blood in your stools or when you cough and a hoarse and persistent cough. Go to the doctor and get a thorough pysical exam.

Let your doctor know how you feel and what your feeling. Tell the doctor you really need these tests done.
If you have a GOOD doctor they'll take the tests.
