How did Muhammad knew that the earth is egg shaped ???!!!?

it is said in the Quraan :
“And the earth, moreover,
hath He made egg shaped.”

The earth is speherical, not egg shaped. Furthermore, contrary to popular belief, people had the knowledge of the shape of the earth as long as 2 millenia before Christopher Columbus sailed when he supposedly thought the earth was flat. So, the knowledge goes pretty far back. It's easy to come to the conclusion that the earth isn't flat and is round. The way you can travel far distances and a star that seemed to be low on the horizon before is not higher. The way that ships sail away and seem to dissappear over the horizon. When there's the rare eclipse, you notice that the earths shadow is what seems to be part of a perfect circle. Things such as that. So, it's not that huge if someone knew before certain times that the earth was of a spherical shape.

The Earth is NOT egg shaped. This is a gross misrepresentation of the actual scientific fact. Yes - it is true that the Earth bulges somewhat at the equator. But it is important to understand what that somewhat is - an infinitessimally small amount when considering the actual scale and size of the Earth. The
radius of the Earth at the equator is 6,378 km; at the poles it is 6,356 km. That is a difference of 0.3%.

If the Earth were reduced to the size of a ping pong ball, it would be both rounder and smoother. If a ping pong ball were enlarged to the size of the Earth, it would have valleys and mountains many times the size of the Earth.

But leaving the science of it aside - there's a simple way to determine whether the Earth is egg shaped. Let's put up a picture of both:

Prophet Muhammad didn't know anything and he did not quote anything in the Quran. If you read the Quran you will not find the Quran as if it was written or words said by Prophet Muhammad. When you read the Quran you will fee as if GOD speak to you, in fact that is what Quran is.

Not only the Quran says about the shape of earth but also everything what is discovered and what will be discovered in the future. There will be an age in the future that human will travel to other planets that is too hinted in the Quran.

Nothing in Quran belongs to Prophet Muhammand or his own word it is purely the creator's.

Instead of just asking all these Questions just get a translated copy of Quran and help your self you will be amaized..

As I have always contended, that the angel who appeared to Muhammad was indeed Satan who pretended to be an angel of light..., Satan knows what all the planets are like and most likely told Muhammad this.

AND THEN he may have made a lucky guess. There is no way to say which one, but these are viable explanations.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not trying to slander, Muhammad. If the man was deceived, he would not have been aware. Have you not been tricked my others? People who cheated and lied to you and you believed them? Muhammad being human was just as susceptible to such deception from Satan.

FINALLY:
The earth is not exactly egg shaped. When science says it is, they are indicating its close to - not exact. If the Earth was shaped exactly like an egg - it would not have a balanced orbit around the sun because an egg is not balanced as such. There would be no life on this planet as a result of the deep space trajectory

It is not only that, in verse 39:5 it says it is a rotating ball and this rotation is the cause of alternating day and night. Very special term not ever been used in Arabic or the Quran elese where to let you imagine earth as a globe rotating in front of your eyes as if you are looking from space.
