My groomsmen and husband walked in through a side door in the church. My bridemaids, jr bride, and flowergirls walked to pachabel's canon in d major. I walked in to the traditional Here comes the bride song. After the kiss we exited the church with the processional music that is usually played. If you are are getting married at a church or religious place, you might want to see what their standards are. My church did not allow secular music, so we chose classical music, and canon in d was always one of my favorite pieces. If you are having a large number of bridesmaids/flower girls, etc. it is easy to be able to mark and time entraces. Also if you have a small wedding party, it is easy to cut down so the music isn't playing forever while you wait to come down the isle.

My birdesmaids walked up to Trumpet Voluntary. Dad and I walked up to "Ode to Joy". We didn't have a flower girl and the groomsmen came in the side door before the ceremony. Our recessional was an Irish song "Mary's Wedding". It was kind of funny since our whole ceremony had been so formal and traditional. You could see the people attending kind of tapping their toes as we were leaving...it got everyone in the mood for a great celebration that followed.

My groomsmen came out during "Wind Beneath My Wings" while our parents were lighting the candles (the guys didn't go up the aisle, but out a side door)...the bridesmaids and flower girl/ring bearerr walked up to "Trumpet Voluntary"...me and my dad walked up to "Bridal March". Our recessional music was "Hornpipe from Water Music". (All music was played on piano)

I am working on this right now actually. I have it narrowed down to a couple choices.
My processional:
Fade into you by Mazzy Star
Bridal Chorus by Wagner
Wedding Party's Processional
Spring by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons
....not sure what other selections so far.

The Swan by St. Saens. My whole party walked down the aisle to this piece. It's a lovely classical piece that's very flowing and not overused.

We are still at the very beginning stages of the planning. We don't have a date yet. I have been thinking about it every now and then. Maybe Kelly Clarkston, A Moment Like This.
