I met her in a bar and thought she was around 22. She didn't tell me she was 17 until after we had sex. She is absolutely gorgeous and mature for her age. Two part question....Is it common nowadays for youg women to go for older guys like myself and is there anything wrong with it?

Well maybe that's not the right word....bad timing- yeh , it would be better if she was 'legal', but if she consented well it's not rape?- she's obviously old enough & mature enough to make choices about what she wants to do with her body. Take it easy, she has alot of growing up to do- enjoy it, my man & I have 8 years apart & i met him at 17. we are still together 17 years on, happy as ever & have 4 great kids. So who knows what lies ahead/

I don't think there's anything wrong, with 17 she probably knows what she wants and as long as her parents don't have a problem with it it is ok.
There probably isn't a general answer to the first part of your question but of course there are some women who do, maybe because men around their age are often very immature or simply because you don't have any influence on who you fall in love with.
And to answer your second question: No, I don't think there's anything wrong with it (only of course as long as the girl isn't still a kid or something, that would be sick though). Everybody can decide for themselves who to date and maybe there are people who talk but I wouldn't care about them too much because they are probably narrow-minded and opposed to anything that might be "unusual" even in the slightest way.
I can't see any problem as long as you both feel good about it.

Uhhh hmmmm........well you see, it usually doesn't work out in the long run cause of the age difference.
She might be mature for her age, but she still is a teenager and still has experience and growing to do.
Don't be surprised if a lot of people hassle you though.
I dated a 26 year old when i was 18, the age difference was a bit too much as I was too 'immature' for him. And he didn't want to try anything again that was new to me, as he already had done it. I'm so glad I got out of that one. My new boy is my age, and we can grow together. :P

Don't worry about it darling. It is something common nowadays and the most important thing is that she accepts it. So, if she is OK with it then you should be OK with that too.
Don't worry everything is OK. My ex was 12 years older than me. I met him when I was 17 and everything was just great.
We spent 6 wonderful years together.
So good luck and don't regret it.

If you both feel comfortable in the relationshipthen thats all that matters. If you are both happy and enjoying things then why stop. Age is just a number, however just consider your future together with such a large age gap

well when i was younger, i was 16 and with a 29 year old, he didint know how old i was till after sex either... the thing is,, you have to watch the parents, if they are ok with it then its fine...
as long you are happy together then i guess thats all that matters..
some people may look down on it, but whats the difference between being 20 and 33??

she is underage for one so you can go to jail and she's not even old enough to step foot in a bar, where the hell do you'll two live they don't have rules or police there? And yes women do sometimes like older men , but more like 20yrs old girl-30 yrs old men, not jail bait.

My husband and I are almost 15 yrs apart. Age is just a number assigned to help you detirmine what law to follow and that one you just broke. You shouldn't be intimate with her anymore until she turns 18. At that time, if there are still feelings then proceed.

Wrong? Statutory rape. But you know that don't you? If no one reports you, or you live somewhere that this doesn't apply, She will probably dump you by her 18th B-day anyway. And yes, it's common..You are old enough to buy beer.
