Chihuahua's are the world's smallest dog breed as well as the longest lived, with active lives easily into their late teens.
My Grandmother had two of them that lived into their twenties.
They are really fun dogs.

Yorkshire Terriers seem to be the smallest of breeds. Pick the runt of the litter out. They will live to be around 14-16 yrs old

The Chipoo (Chihuahua/Poodle) also has a long lifespan. Luci (my chipoo) is expected to live anywhere from 12 to 18 years.
