Is God just all in the head?

Was God created by people's imaginations to provide meaning in their lives, to assure them that death is not the end and to protect them in this frightening world

I don't mean to be blasphemous or anything?

No one can say for sure, for proving Gods existence would remove the need for faith. Without faith God does not exist.
The concept of Gods was created by every culture independent of each other. Can the whole of humanity be wrong?

Yep god is a prehistoric cave man's way of trying to explain the inexplicable but now we have science that can do a better job of that so we don't need religion any more. And go on be blasphemous it's fun try it see look har har har jesus wasn't real god lives in a big cloud in the sky yer right my bum is god and it creates a new universe every time i fart. God wasn't created, he was "devised". He was devised from the universe and an understanding of God manifested into human thoughts and beliefs. Humans saw the greatest things in this world. The miracles of birth, the amazing survival traits that animals express that are so intelligent, the beautiful sunsets, the majestic mountains.. and it's fierce storms, that are also beautiful even in their destruction. Because it's the hardships and troubles that shape and mold us into stronger beings. Yes, organized religion was created by people to provide them safety from the frightening ideas of death and failure. The truth is though, God does not embrace these things. God is eternal.. and we are also eternal in spirit. We are confused primitive beings, imagining that death is something to be afraid of. We think that war is the only way to truly get what we want, we fear that there is not enough resources for everyone when there is plenty of food and water everywhere on this earth. God is truth, we just have to learn to see God and share God's ultimate messages of love and peace. It's time to change our current understanding of God, and open our minds and our hearts to each other.

if u able to feel..GOD beyond of imagination, can u see the limits of human brain, its very little ..very little, everything we try to convert according to our needs and capacity, the Hindu imagine his god as his way , the Christian believe his own way,

when we talking abt concept of god. mostly all of us.it based on fear,because we don't know what to do with our lives. We are continuously trembling, scared , u feel - nowhere to go, nobody to guide, nowhere to find any security. In that fear, We need a protector.coz of this our imagination create our god.

What things in your life can you physically prove? What things do you believe via secondary sources (e.g.- reading, hearing, etc). There are many reasons to believe in God. The very fact that we exist and you can ask the question is a proof. You can choose to ignore them if you wish...

In that God is a spiritual being we cannot "prove" him in the human/physical sense. The best argument, or proof of God, is the Bible and the Historical figure Jesus Christ.

sometimes its better to believe in something than nothing at all because its what comforts you.belief in a higher being can help you live a better life. i was born into christianity but i dont practise the faith and believe in creation. i also no when i die i am going in a wooden box 2 be put six foot under and thats it. i am not sure about going to a better place because whats better than being with your friends and family and with all the technology we have today how come MAN hasnt discovered this place!!!!!!!!

Is He in your head? Or are you trying to get Him in it? Either way there is something ? No one can make you believe, only you can it is like saying i can feel the fire burning under you(right) no one can but you definnetly know what you're feeling.
Beside you are to test all things. To know what brings you to lowliness and what takes you to loftiness. All things are good but not all profit thee. Know for sure and do not walk blindly!
