I am not an English professor, but let me try to correct that sentence.. I would say it this way ( People who drinks and make that their hobby or leisure...) Don't forget third person singular.

You did not say what they drink. I take it you are referring to alcohol. Any thing not done in moderation becomes bad for you. ok People use their leisure time to drink as a hobby.

When in leisure mood people drink and make merry
DRINKING is a habit and not a HOBBY . Any pursuit of knowledge can be a hobby including collection of empty beer bottles but not drinking.
