following on from my last question... i have desided to go on a training course to learn how to apply hair extensions... but what i want to know is... how much could i charge a client to apply hair extensions? whats a reasonable price without over-charging? i obviously want to be cheaper than hair salons.. but still make a fair profit. so how much do hair salons usually charge? and what price would you be willing to pay to get hair extensions done by a non hairdresser?.... only sensible answers please

balmain human hair extensions using fusion method. price for hair is about £100.00 approx depending on client, but i just woundered how much to apply the hair?

Hi i am a mobile hairdresser i use balmain i charge 215.00 for a full head, this does not include if the hair needs dyeing to match their colour remember that you need about 2 -3 tubes of colour to dye the box set of balmain extensions. also when i first started off i did a lot of messing around finding colours to match a clients hair bought the stuff then she cancelled last minute luckly salon services will exchange if they have not been coloured. i now always ask for a 100 pound none returnable deposit this will dwindle out the people who will mess you around always give a reciept and alwasy have it in writing that it is a non returnable deposit get your clients to sign it too. P.S This advice was given to me by another hairdresser and it has been great advice! Good luck

It all depends on what type of hair extensions you are applying.
Is it weave, bonding, plaits or the type using the glue gun and real hair extensions.
They all have different prices for applying. My suggestion is to call up your local hairdressers, specializing is these techniques and ask for price lists.
I am a mobile hairdresser and find that the hair extension business can be quite lucrative, although it is time consuming.
I would suggest you get the price lists and undercut by £10-100, depending on the prices you are quoted. Ater all you don't have the same overheads (sorry for the pun).

it depends on what kind of extensions you use to calculate how much to charge you need to look into how much it will cost you to buy all the equipment etc and put your fee on top!
The cheapest for extensions i have seen is about three hundred! I know someone who does extensions and she is not a hair dresser and she does quite well but it's all word of mouth

It is quite easy to travel to Myanmar now. You can resort to a travel agent who will have no difficulties arranging all the services and necessary documents for you.
