I know this sounds like a stupid question. And I know that drinking 20 beers will put you to sleep and cuase you to crash. But when I have 2 or 3 drinks I seem to drive with more caution. I think clearer and I seem to be more aware of my surrondings. What do you think? I want to know this from experienced drunk drivers only please.

Ok, please don't tell me not to drink and drive. I hear that from my mom all the time. I know that drinking and driving is not the right thing to do.
FYI when I do drink and drive(a car that is) I make sure that there aren't any other cars on the road. I live in the sticks where no one drives late at night. All I got to worry about is hitting a deer and hugging a tree.

well the statistics bear out that being intoxicated does cause many problems for drivers...but if you are talking a beer or two over a couple of hours i would like to see test results because I agree being more relaxed could actualy be beneficial to a driver and I know for a fact personaly that a couple of beers does not hurt a persons ability to drive...but this could vary from driver to driver the effects alcohol has on there motor skills but depending on weight and tolerance to alcohol I would agree that a few drinks could help more than impair some peoples ability to drive...the thing is that it is not the same for everyone and the law couldnt just state its ok for certain drivers and not for others.And it is never good to be drunk and drive so I understand the drunk driving laws although I'm not sure if the legal definition of intoxicated is aways correct.

Beer relaxes a person and might make him/her feel more confident, but alcohol only makes a person less coordinated and can cause people to endanger their lives and the lives of others if they get behind the wheel. A DUI can also cost a person a lot of trouble and money. A person who injures or kills someone while driving drunk or under the influence will have to live with the stupid mistake the rest of his/her life.

just cause you feel in controll your not thats the problem with drinking and driving the line between drunk and not is a fine line for most, and as far as feeling more aware , its cause your hipped up on adrenaline cause your watching and wait for cops to pull you over . its a fear responce .

There are far too many dead people as a result of thinking like your. NO YOU CANNOT DRIVE BETTER WHILE BUZZED!!
You're more careful because you know you're impaired. And you know you have hell to pay should a cop smell your breath.

the alcohol relax's u n puts you more at ease which in turn improves your driving because ur less nervous, alcohol might reduce reaction times but nervousness can lead to indecision which can lead to not taking action or taking the wrong action,
