The main difficulty in linking China and India by rail is the mountainous region that seperates them. Anyways, there are international trains from China to Hanoi and Moscow. From Hanoi, you might be able to get something across Loas, Thailand and Burma to get to India. The train to Moscow might make stops in internediate stops. Maybe you will find something across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but it is ddifficult, especially because of the situation in Afghanistan and the dispute in Jammu & Kashmir.
