Its true... no polite way... if you try polite, he will break all of them twice. The only way to beat aggression is by aggression, if not practically then atleast in your tone.
Remember, When Dogs Bark, they bark, don't bite. The biting ones wont wait to bark at you.
Psychologically speaking, this person is afraid you can do the same to him. So he just gave a warning to you waiting to see your reaction. React boldly and he might just say something else... and then you say something... and then he does... and the battle of words goes on.
A Sound advice... dont be the first to break the fist unless you are sure you can take him down.

Dont get carried away, u just got scared of rat in ur pants......he looks for rat n thats the time to break his each n every bone of his body...but start with the place where no bone exists...got it
