i think all opinions are good, when not forced or trying to stomp down on others for believing in something different

I asked a similar question and Y deleted it. But to answer I think questioning is always good. This place is ferocious and, unlike religious gatherings where everyone mostly agrees, here ideas & doctrines get taken apart like there's no tomorrow, it's ruthless. But I must say that I like Christians because they do ask things (unlike members of some religions that are apparently perfect since they don't ask anything). Knowledge is always good, mind wants to know. Burring the head in the sand is a great sin.

I have to agree a little bit. But I find that if you sort through the bad apples you will find the answers you are looking for in other faiths and religions. I kind of just ignore the the hatred and nasty comments.

it does both harm and good.
you can only avoid the trouble makers, and help those in true need.
yahoo answers religion, would be perfect if people werent involved. lol.
if u want to start a bible study or good un-troublemaking question, just post it, and ignore the rubbish responses (abuse reporting them as unrelevant) and i sure will join in the study or answering, along with other Genuine answerers here. :-)
but i have been so glad that ive been able to help people. its worth sifting through the rubbish that gets on here, to find one golden nugget. one genuine seeker.

I share you the same frustration, but I do not agree on the same conclusion. Still there is hope. I think if only 10% of the questions allow me to know more about other religions and allow others to know about mine, then it is an achievement and is worth it.
The attitude of hatred, mocking and intolerance is not religion-specific. What about discussions about races? gender? nationalities? etc?
If we cannot learn to embrace our differences and tolerate and respect each other for what we are, then everything is not working, not only YAHOO Religion.
May Allah bless us all.

No. Just be patience and remember what you are looking for. Comparing religion and professing your beliefs can be achieved by questions. Biblical study is easier since you can ask a question regarding a verse(s) and see what you get back. Stay focus and just ignore the junk you get back.

It does seem to turn into hatred more times than not unfortunately.
Just sift through the hatred and find the good information.
There is good out there!
Just keep in mind that there could be hatred in any question you ask.

My think it is not helping just spreading hate to each other! After 9/11, the world changes for some few bustard; they give the Muslim bad name! Even some Muslim who were not and are not involved and still die hard fan of al AMERICAN things (movie, comic, music) they are hated by Christian these days!

I think in any open forum religion should not be discussed.
It unnecessarily creates argument and hatred. It is very sensitive and personal subject.
Religion is every ones personal faith.

If you feel this way, then leave already. :-)
I don't agree. I am STILL learning. I just weed out the trolls and nasty questions and answer those I feel are sincere (or humorous). :-)
