Let's start a promo against entering the teaching profession.

recruiting teachers from other countries. wow! what a fantastic idea! Don't you all think so? It would be wayyyy cheaper! Right! after all, money isn't EVERYTHING, right?

I'm convinced- but I homeschool my kids and they can actually read, write, do math- all the stuff they don't care if you learn in "real" schools anymore.

no, you cant talk me out of it. im going to school to be a teacher right now and nothing will change my mind. even if the pay sucks if im married to someone who makes at least as much as me ill be happy, ill get holidays off, when i have kids ill actually get to spend time with them since ill get off work when they get out of school, AND since social security will be empty by the time my generation reaches retirement i wont have to worry about it because teachers have a seperate retirement plan and ill be making the same amount as i was teaching after i retire. besides, i love the kids.

teachers back in the old days were better, why you ask, because back then it were less people and you had to go the extra mile to get that knowledge. nowadays so many people are close to 1 another and the advancements in science etc. has given people more than 1 source to go to for educational purposes. so basically teachers are baby-sitters in my view nowadays. that is why you can not get rid of them.

i just watched a special on the news about how baltimore is recruiting hundreds of teachers from malaysia because they are SO short on teachers... it's too bad our teachers are not taken better care of.

yea, i think this is the good idea. U can try it first. In Australia of schools, some are start running it. not bad.
