If your phone was tapped, it would sound crystal clear. If you hear clicks or have bad reception, you can be pretty sure it isn't.

Todays taps (at least legal ones) are almost always done at the central phone office, there will be no sign or ability to detect it.

unless your on some kind of watch list, why would they want to tap your phone? All a click means is there is a click. nothing more. your imagaination is running wild.

yes, there can be a click, it happens when the phone receives a signal
