Teaching is best profession for me. It gives me an opportunity to serve others by passing not only the academic knowledge but every thing which is acquired through experiences of life enabling other to cope up the difficulties faced by me in past.

Teaching is said to be the noblest profession. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a lawyer to save the poor and oppressed people. I treasured that dream even until now. But when I finished high school, I went to an Adventist college where my mom encouraged to be a teacher. It was her dream yet not mine. Not to disappoint her, I took BS English. There I was more in love with literature. I wanted to read stories and share them with others. I saw the sacrifices of my professors which made me realize that I also wanted to be among them. Others said, education is for the poor and idiot people but I guess they are wrong. There will be no doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. without teachers! Therefore, let us thank our teachers for being so patient and forebearing with us. Now, I am in my master's education and again I am into english education where few months from now I'll be sharing God's love through the english language in a non-English speaking country.

When I was in high school, as a naieve idealist, I wanted to be a teacher. That was probably because I associated with the teachers more than the students.
As an adult, and mother of 7, step-mother of 3, and grandmother of 2, I am so glad I didn't become a teacher, as I probably would have shot myself long before this.
Pre-Teen and Teen girls are horrible people, and I am glad I only had two of my own to contend with, and not a bunch of other people's.

Yes, during the year after college when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do I considered teaching. I took a job as a teacher's aide working with special ed kids. I didn't like it -- I didn't enjoy trying to make these kids do what they were supposed to, and they didn't seem to like being controlled and manipulated either. It was irreconcilable differences, so I quit.
