That would be very correct, i believe too that what should be the judge for all our believes and doctrines is the bible. A lot of things have crept into the Church of God, that were never intended by Him, but because we thought we were wise in our own eyes, we thought those were the right things to do, we allowed them in, but in the end, we have succeeded in only creating divisions and strives among ourselves.

Jesus never said anything about religion. He never defined the word "religion". Religion is a man made word and also is some of the people who teach doctrine is theirs not God's. The Scriptures are infallible and are written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I therefore call myself a believer.

You are right in the first place and wrong in the second, i.e. we should stop thinking in terms of religion, but I feel that we do not need to think in terms of doctrine either. The important thing is FAITH, which for a Christian means believing in Jesus and doing our best to follow his teaching and his ways.
God bless.

ANOINTED:
Jesus didnt, but James, His brother, did.
and its quite different to what people have made it.
James 1:27
"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
yep. im a Religious Christian, and glad of it. coz that is true religion. the bible is so smart... hehehe.
to answer the questioner tho, no. i wont stop thinking in terms or religion. coz James had a pretty good definition that id like to follow. But what the WORLD has made religion out to be? i avoid it like the plague.
Live by the bible. not by other peoples opinions.

I agree completely, which is why I am a Missouria Synod Lutheran, I can prove scripturally every doctrine we have.
However I also must conced that being a Christian is a lot more important than being Lutheran, or Baptist or anything else.
Good LUck and God Bless

you can read and memorize a book written by men, but using the brain that god gave you is too difficult?
something is amiss here.
