as i hairdressing tutor i totally agree, and let me tell you lot out of the 64 students i teach 5 are men, my best student last year passed with a distinktion was a male, was he gay you got to be joking, he was hard working and had a total passion for the job which showed, but i will say some women not many but some will refuse to have their hair done by a guy why i dont know but seen it happen, for equal ops we have to try and get our sex, race etc equal but its hard.
Men tend to go further in this career Nicky clarke, Trevor sorbie, Vidal sasson and the last salon i worked in the owner packed up and went to london he now goes all over the world does loads of famous people hair not bad for a bloke in a womens proffesion, if more men did it it would be more acceptable and hopefully quash the gay thing as it ust is not true, so come on men pick up the scissors and get cutting its a brilliant job, i have made a big career out of it, earnt loads of cash and just about to open my own salon

I prefer a woman for a hairdresser -- after all, I want my haircut to make me more attractive to women and who would know what looks sexy to women better than a woman?
