Try it and find out how fast you get pulled over. They even frown on the "cool blue" tinted headlights.

Yes, they are illegal. The only colors allowed on the front of a non-emergency vehicle (in any state) are white (for headlights) and amber (for turn-signals and parking lights).

Green is often tolerated as it has no legal meaning for emergency vehicles but blue and red are strictly verboten.

Unless your car is in Police/Law Enforcement service - bluelights are illegal in all 50 US states.
