If a fellow human being is not following Islam, a muslim has a duty to teach that person about Islam, and the best way he can do that is by practising Islam properly himself. Islam teaches tolerance towards other religions; it's a shame many muslims today do not honor that teaching. About the statues, I'm not sure, I don't think pulling them down was a good idea. Most muslims agree that Budha was one of the most pious of teachers, some even suggest he was a prophet of Allah. We revere his teachings (at least I do) as they send a message of peace, as do most Islamic teachings. If the statues were enclosed by a religious facility, like a temple, then Islam does not allow muslims to desecrate the worship-places of others. If they were not enclosed in such a circumference, then Islam doesn't have anything to do with it, it's more a historical problem than a religious one. You'd have to blame the tyrannical rule of the Taliban, not the muslims of Afghanistan. Our religion is good, and there is no doubt about it, at least if it's practised in its actual form. There are more Christians today because Christianity has adapted itself to the ways of its followers over the history of it's existence, thus allowing more people to fit in comfortably. Islam hasn't changed one bit - we still follow the Quran (Islam's holy book) in the form it was revealed to the Prophet, and many people today do not agree to some of its teachings, claiming they are too ancient. But that's not the point, the argument itself doesn't make much sense, because then I can arguably ask "If Budhism is so good, then why doesn't the majority of people today follow it instead of Christianity or Islam?"

a million) No, he/she embraced Islam and consequently starts a sparkling existence. the guy is even blessed for picking Islam. however the guy would desire to you will desire to no longer consume beef and drink alcohol back after he/she turns into Muslim. 2) confident it particularly is, Muhammad (pbuh) is the final of all prophets. there's no prophet after him. and not believing in him while you're a Muslim is a great sin. with the aid of fact to become a Muslim, you basically would desire to assert " I testify that there's no God yet Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger." yet, in case you have not got self belief him, then what's using this proclamation? 3) Allah SWT has commanded us to desire 5 situations an afternoon. Praying 5 situations an afternoon is interior the 5 Pillars of Islam. And Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as quickly as reported: "the version between a non-believer and a Muslim is prayer." So, in case you do no longer pray, you're no longer friendly your responsibilities as a Muslim. And God will decide each individual on the Day of Ressurrection.

I am a Muslim. I have lots of Christian friends and non-believers as well. What people believe in is their personal choice that they will be held accountable for on Dooms Day.

I am no god to make people believe or to judge them if they don't. Even Prophet Muhammad, and every messenger from Allah, wasn't in that situation.

I resent violence in all forms and for all reaons other than self-defence and as an absolutely vital reaction to an attack in order to survive. Islam, as all religions, is for peace.

There are way more Muslims than Christians. There have always been wars, coups, and extremist behavior by persons claiming a befief in just about every religion. Christians, (mostly Catholics) have the monoply on continously trying to convert people tho.

God is one, whether it is named God, or Allah, or given any other name. Religions are only the paths towards the God. If some one tortures any other person in the name of God or Allah, he is far away from the real religion and is quite ignorant about the God or religion.

I have read all the post here and both Islam and Christianity sound about the same....Islam cannot force you to worship the way they do they just have to tell you about their religion and Christianity pretty much the same......makes me wonder what other similarities there are between the two different religions.

The Koran actually allows for non-believers to practise their religion. I wouldn't prostrate yourself in any market place in Afghanistan though.

Most religious services for non-Muslims in muslim countries are held in small private gatherings, as it's illegal in many of these countries to spread any religion except Islam, and despite the teaching of the Koran on this issue, it simply may not be safe to advertise your religion in many middle eastern countries.

these r not the teachings of prophet mohammad, they themselves r against their own sect, not religion ,where as religion means humanity, first of all u must know who u r?after that u can say that i am religious, the only rligion of the mankind is to discover oneself first,so what these phantics people r doing is neither religion or humanity, where as SUPREME remains the one, rest r HIS CHILDREN, may u call allah, god or whatever u may like.
