Do not fear the shadows
it only means there is a light near by
they say before you die, your whole life
flashes before you, make it worth watching
and the saddest thats not really a quote
One day..
When you were 8 years old, your dad handed you an ice cream. You
thanked him by dripping it all over your lap.
When you were 9 years old, he paid for piano lessons. You
thanked him by never even bothering to practice.
When you were 10 years old, you he drove you all day from soccer to
gymnastics to one birthday party after another. You thanked him by
jumping out of the car and never looking back.
When you were 11 years old, he took you and your friends to the movies.
You thanked him by asking him to sit in another row.
When you were 12 years old, he warned you not to watch certain shows.
You thanked him by waiting until he got out of the house.
When you were 13 years old, he suggested a haircut that was becoming.
You thanked him by telling him he had no taste.
When you were 14 years old, he paid for a month away at summer camp.
You thanked him by forgetting to write a single letter.
When you were 15 years old, he came home from work looking for a hug.
You thanked him by having your bedroom door locked.
When you were 16 years old, he taught you how to drive his car. You
thanked him by taking it every chance you could.
When you were 17 years old, he was expecting an important call. You
thanked him by being on the phone all night.
When you were 18 years old, he cried at your highschool graduation.
You thanked him by staying out partying `til dawn.
When you were 19 years old, he paid for your college tuition, drove you
to campus, and carried your bags. You thanked him by saying good-bye
outside the dorm so you wouldn't be embarrassed in front of your
friends.
When you were 25 years old, he helped to pay for your wedding, and he
cried and told you how deeply he loved you. You thanked him by moving
half-way across the country.
When you were 50 years old, he fell ill and needed you to take care of
him. You thanked him by reading about the burdern parents become to
their children.
And then, one day, he quietly died.
And everything you never did came crashing down like
THUNDER on your heart.

S*** Happens
Life's like a box of chocolates
Life's just one damned thing after another
A bird fell from a bow, without ever feeling sorry for itself
'Pain is your friend, your Alli, it will remind you to get the hell home and to get the job done. But you the best thing about pain, it lets you know you ain't dead yet.'
You control your destiny, your destiny does not control you.
Every time you hear a bell, An Angel grows it's wings...

Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow; don't walk behind me, I may not lead; walk beside me, and be my friend....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I looked this up for a long time before I found the one I really wanted to post. This one below...... I love the first two lines of this verse. It is on my friend's grave
If Tears Could Build A Stairway :
******If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, ***
******Id walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. ***
ISN'T THAT BEAUTIFUL??? I love it so much
--( The rest of the poem is this):--
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why.
My heart's still active in sadness, and secret tears still flow;
What it meant to lose you no one can ever know.
But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more,
To remember all the happy times; life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today:
A hallowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.
In Loving Memory of (Name of Affection)

It takes courage to push yourself to places that you have never been before... to test your limits... to break through barriers. And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.

Don't be afraid of death, my dear
Believe me now, that's the least to fear
Then what's the worst you may ask,
Time I'd say, because before you know it, it's swept away.
