One option is to add more RAM. Find out what kind of RAM your computer takes. 2GB is about the average amount needed to stay up with the latest applications and games.

You can also replace your CPU/Processor with a faster one. 2GHZ Athlon or better for gaming or 3GHZ Pentium or better for word processing and office work.

Any sort of defragmenting or erasing files will only temporarily speed up your computer until new files are eventually added. Then it will slow back down.

Put it in a plane?

There are SOOO many mitigating factors.

More memory and larger and faster hard drives usually are the major cause for slow computers.

Microsoft Windows is another cause, but when you put in the new FAST hard drive, new software will be installed and you will see...

My server had 3 SCSI 4 gig Hard drives. 5400 RPM..
I changed them out to 3 SCSI 54GIG 10,000 RPM drives.
The speed of the system increased soooo much, it was like having a brand new pentium 5 machine. (I know it dont exist yet, but you get the point)
The processors are both Slot 1 Pentium 400MHZ Processors. It runs faster then my 2 GIG single processor machine.. (It appears to.
When I had the 5400 RPM drives, it ran like a Pentium 2 MMX 200 MHZ system.

Why not tie tie it behind your car and drive your car at 80 miles? that could be fast enought?

Ok getting to the point,
Remove all or most of the unnecessary things from the startup,
Do regular maintanance and more and more..... god bless haha

additional memory speeds up the computer, you should also get rid of unnecessary files especially when you're working on graphics..see to it that you delete back-ups, templates, cookies, and temp files from time to time..defrag your pc at least once every two weeks..that'll help..
