I'm not sure what you're asking, but there is no French church. In France, religion is disestablished to a unique degree in western nations, both politically and socially.

It is difficult to determine church membership or attendance, since the French gov't keeps no such records. Recent surveys give some idea, however.

According to the CIA,
Roman Catholic 83-88%,
Muslim 5-10%
Protestant 2%,
Jewish 1%,

According to a 2003 poll however
62% answered Roman Catholic,
6% Muslim,
2% Protestant,
1% Jewish,
2% "other religions"
26% "no religion"
1% declined to answer.

That same poll showed
41% said that the existence of God was "excluded" or "unlikely".
33% declared that "atheist" described them rather or very well, and
51% for "Christian"

At the same time, 15 per cent of Frenchman attend church regularly as opposed to 10 per cent for the UK and 57 per cent for the U.S.

France is really an agnostic country. There is a real anti-Christian humanism that is quite bigotted against the whole idea of faith.
