Yes, I think so. Americans because of our alliance with Israel and our media most would choose to be on the side of Israel. Although I am surprised to see so many answers saying they are neutral. I also am neutral. I know what is really going on over there and I know that neither party is innocent. In fact lately I have sided more with Palestine than Israel, but I still consider myself neutral.

the united states should be more neutral instead of playing politics in the Mid East

but do you honestly expect the US to relate with them in the same way? Israel is the only true democracy in the Mid East while Palestine is a unorganized mess half run by terrorists that hate the United States almost as much as Israel. Its kind of hard to treat a person that wants you to die the same as someone that sees you as his biggest ally.

Most of Americans do support Israel. Why? Israel has always supported The United States and has always been a friend to this country.
Should we not support Israel which is in the Bible and the country that Christ was born in?

Most americans support Isreal, yes.. AND EVEN MORE so since 9/11 and some of the talks with Iran.

We now have experianced what Isreal has been dealing with for a very long time. We still do not have a full grasp of how much more they are treated.

The USA supporting Israel seems the logical way to go. Both are fighting extended engagements against terrorism driven by Islamic fundamentalism, both countries are democracies in the Western sense of the word, as oppossed to the mock elections that take place in most countries in the ME, where they bother to even hold such elections and both countries have similar values.

We've been giving Isreal monatary and military support for years!

And isreal uses that backup to make things pretty uncomfortable for those in that region who do not share the same religious beliefs. Many countries hate Isreal because of this. And many people hate the US because of our support for isreal. Some say we support them because they are a democracy. Some say because the Jews in power in US control alot of money...

I feel we should be somewhat neutral, but support UN sanctions against countries that want Nuclear weapons.

USA traditionally supports Israel. No we shouldn't be neautral. their is no such thing as palestine the Jewish people have owned that land for thousands of years the nomadic arabs during the crusades time took control of israel then.
besides how do you reason with a group who believe their god tells them to kill themselves and innocent people with them and they believe their god wants the destruction of Israel. palestine or terroristine?

To support an ally is America's right, but to support blindly without regards to the Palestinians and without conscience is what makes it not only wrong but sinful, how do the Americans go to bed every day?

I think most americans are neutral. They just see the whole place as a big mess being perpetuated by idiotic israeli/palestinian leaders. When I think of it, I think of it as a never-ending tit-for-tat childish reparté... Reminds me of kindergarden actually...
