Faith alone will not save.
Faith and Works, alone, will not save.
Faith, Works, and God's Sanctifying Grace WILL save.

The idea that faith alone or faith and works alone will save is not true. Anyone who believes this has (inadvertently perhaps?) taken God out of the equation.

Faith, Works, AND - most important of all - God's Sanctifying Grace is what saves. All the faith and works in the world, without God's Sanctifying Grace, will not save.

It might do well to tell anyone who believes in faith-alone or faith and works alone, not to forget what really saves : God's Sanctifying Grace.

The Bible says that faith without works is dead, so in my opinion faith is the most important, but true faith inevitably leads to good works. Your good works can be thought of as the evidence of your faith.

OK Let get the definitions down: Faith or faith/believing states what we believe; it is active not passive. If we have faith we can move mountains (do the impossible).

Good works refers to the sacraments; it has nothing to do with labor. It is Martin Luther who rejects good works, the sacraments of Roman Catholic Church.

The Roman Catholic answer is both: faith and the sacrament, The Protestant answer is faith, we are save by faith alone.

Without faith, there is no Christian church. I hope this clarifies the relationship between faith and good works (sacraments).

No, Good Works are far more important than faith. We only have to look at the book of James to see this:

James 1:22-26
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.

James 2:14-28
Faith and Deeds
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

faith makes you do good deeds. faith brings out the true confidence and the rightfull attitude in you. faith is what differentiates a coward from a knight. faith is a intricate bond which joins us with our eternal father(lord). faith gives you strenght which is beyond measure. yes work is measured in our world but faith cannot be neglected. but its upon you my friend, i have just advised you .

It is faith alone that you are saved, sanctified. Works come as a result of faith.

What is works without faith? But show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith with works.
