You need to have more confidence in yourself, if you want to find it look into a mirror and say, I can face this environment, I am A good person,I only need to fear what I don't know, I need to challenge my self to learn and to relax,
count to ten, open your eyes and look at all the people and then remember you are not alone as others feel disconnected till one puts our best foot forward and challenges these feelings. Will you go to a dance and find you can dance by yourself? These are just a few thoughts. I sure wish you well and to be heathy in mind and spirit. Be patience with yourself. Let go of the things that don't pertain to you personaly.

I feel the same way too!I feel like i don't belong .I try to fit in but nothing interest me.I just like to be alone.I am manic depressive.I do socialize and do things but nothing seems exciting. However,I am now on medication and i feel more alive and interested in wanting to meet people and try new things but i still have days where i feel disconnected from the world. To me it sounds like you are depressed ,always trying to find the reason why you are the way you are just makes you feel worse about yourself. I always thought why can't i be normal then i turned my thoughts to; "that's just how i am suppose to be ." I accepted me for me and that helped me come out of my shell .If you want to contact me your more than welcome.Try to change your way of thinking Believe you are the best and don't worry so much .Accept you for you. That's what makes you feel special . Love yourself and you will begin to feel much better.
