I went to college, I am glad I did. It's all a learning curve-- getting a bank account, renting an apartment, living with roommates...

First of all, know that you don't exactly have to "start" a different life after high school. You don't have to leave yourself behind and begin anew unless you want to. Use what you learned and grow into whatever it is that you had hoped to become.
Whether that transition will be hard sort of depends on how "attached" you are to your high school (or the comfort that living at home provides). Some students have an incredible time during their senior year and are disappointed when it ends. Others can't wait to be rid of their hometown. (A lot of people in the latter category later find that they didn't know a "good thing" when they had it.)
To be honest, a lot of students who finish high school don't end up "out on their own." For example, students who go directly to college aren't exactly entering what most people would consider the "real world" (though they tend to disagree on this point). For this very reason, college can be a nice transition between high school and the working world.
If you do enter the working world (after high school or later on), remember that "hard" doesn't always mean "bad." It can be a struggle to obtain a job that (1) pays ALL the bills (2) leaves you money and time to enjoy yourself outside of work and (3) is personally enriching. Have you ever heard the saying (and I'm paraphrasing here) that "Nothing worth having is ever easy to obtain"? Well, I think that's true when it comes to acquiring a job, finding love, and making a living. But that's what makes it so satisfying when you actually get where you want to be! You'll find that it's SO satisfying to seek out and obtain a job that you like, find a home that you can call your own, and growing into a new "you." Just my 2 cents...

You have to look way beyond the partying and the drinking after high school, if thats all you do you will never get anywhere in life. Also high school is really important for getting into college, any college you are looking to get into will see a low gpa or a failed class and say no. Also getting into fashion school may not be a good thing for you, being color blind will really effect how well you will do in that field.

only as hard as you make it. if you strive to achieve attainable goals things will go much easier. on the other hand, if you want to just take it easy and not have any motivation, then things can get tougher.
