I have actually tried several operating systems (as I used to give techincial support for them). There are many die hard fans of Linux. I kinda like the open source operating system. However, anyone who has used Graphics Software (like Corel Draw or Adobe Photoshop) will dislike the Linux based graphics software that is similar (as these packages are much more cryptic to run). In addition, troubleshooting problems in Linux requires you to understand cryptic postings on web sites that answer your question (but not as clearly as a Windows based OS).

I have gotten used to XP and now feel it is a very stable operating system. I was a fan of Windows 2000. But, since Microsoft is eventually going to stop supporting the OS, I guess we all must go to XP (hmm, kinda Borgish of them - Resistance is futile, we will all be assimilated).

Im partial to 2k pro...it seems to be more stable than any of my other systems. Windows xp? I have it on one of my systems but it has many limitations which is probably a blessing for most users.
