Explain it to them just like you did to us, after much prayer and guidance from God. Maybe ask your new pastor to extend the invitation with you. If you really feel it is going to be heated debate, create a personal invitation to each parent without any further statements. If they forbid you at this point in time, honor and respect them, and know that your salvation is secure and you can follow in Baptism when you are out on your own. God will give you wise direction - when you're seeking first the kingdom of God, he will give you the means by which to go forward. We may not always understand, but the day comes that we look back and realize it was God's way and it was the right way.

I would suggest that you involve 1 or 2 of the people in the church where you want to be baptized in your discussion with your parents. You seem quite mature for one so young. It's beautiful that you want to be baptized again as it is now your choice. To announce to one and all that you are choosing Jesus as your personal Savior.
You could start your discussion with your parents talking about how they had you baptized as a baby and how glad you are that they did that. And now that you are older you would like to reaffirm your baptism by doing it again. That you love them both very much and would dearly love to have them there. That you are not trying to change their minds about religion, but this is an important day that you want to share with the 2 people you love most in this world.
As for the future, you living out your faith where your parents can see you is a powerful witness for Christ. They will learn from your example and in time may come to choose Christ themselves.
I pray they will attend your baptism and eventually come to Christ. God bless!

You've made the first step for you and your whole family. That's just awesome! When we first become christian we tend to sometimes be over zealous. Don't get me wrong, it's not wrong being on fire for Jesus. We need to be very careful when it comes to the people we love; we must try not exert Jesus on them; if you know what I'm saying. This takes a lot of prayer. Ask God to give you wisdom when dealing with your family. You want them to know Jesus through you. You need to put on Christ in the sense "what would Jesus do in this situation?" Put your family at Jesus' feet. You cannot save them, only Jesus can. God bless and congrats on your baptism.

Only you know ur parents and if they are against what u are doing now then they may not like the fact that you would want to be baptized. You say that you were baptized when you were a baby but you fail to say if they were present. Pray and ask God for continual guidance and talk to the ones who have guided you to this great endeavor.

That is such a great story! I think that you need to tell them that even though they don't except what decision you have made, they need to be supportive in anything you do. They are your parents, they are suppose to love you no matter what. And if getting baptized is something you feel you should do then do it. Tell them that by going to see you baptized is not so much supporting your decision but more of supporting you as their daughter. It's not like you are going to ruin your life with this choice. It's actually the opposite. Tell them that it will make you more confident in your beliefs and that it is in your heart to do this no matter what they think about it.

The same way a 15 year old who just apostacised tells their religious parents they're now an atheist. Just tell them you believe in god.
BTW, amazing people may be fun to hang out with, but in no way does the fact that they are amazing provide any evidence of gods. Study the history of your soon to be mental virus before injecting yourself with it.

Pray to God to give you the strength and to prepare their hearts in advance of your telling them if you feel that you want them to be there. But be prepared for the second half of that prayer to not be answered because God tells us that He will allow us to undergo trials and persecution for our faith so that we can be bold witnesses who demonstrate that our love for Jesus means more to us than what people will think or say about it.
James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Matthew 5:11 "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
