Yes, if you are a follower of Jesus, you will have to resist the devil and rebuke him. That is in line with the Bible. Just keep trusting in Jesus and the devil will have to flee. :)

The key to that passage is the first part about submitting yourself to God and THEN resisting the Devil. Many a Christian who lives a life that is not submitted to God tries to resist the Devil on their own strength and finds that the Devil comes flying into their face so to speak.

As to rebuking the devil, I pray for the Lord to rebuke him.

Jude 1:8-10 Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. 9 But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." 10 But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.

2 Peter 2:9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, 11 whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.

Zechariah 3:2 And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?"

yes but the verse says to submit to God first then resist the devil and his attacks then the devil will flee. No mention of rebuking him there he flees if you are submitted to God and stay that way

Yes! He is always trying to side-track us. We need to be vigilant. Otherwise, he will gain an advantage. I believe we must resist him, but I think we dhoulkd do more talking to Jesus than to him. Sometimes I ask Jesus to rebuke the devil for me.

There's no such thing as the devil. Psychologically speaking you are just imagining yourself fleaing from evil. God does exist, I won't deny that, but when you talk about the devil, it is a concept that was made by man to scare people into worshipping and obeying their local churches.

The devil is your ego. The part of you that is tempted into selfrighteousness. That lusts for reward and punishment. Our spirit knows we are one with God without laws and works and even faith.

Our flesh, our ego, wants to gain favor with God with our deeds. This is self righteous.

What did the devil tempt Jesus to do? Sin? No, to prove who He was. Jesus did not need to do that and neither do you.

All the time! it's called free will, as human's we are expected to sin, it's part of the life. The difference is knowing between Good and Evil.

If u had killed God 5 minutes in the past, the completed cosmos could be disintegrating & falling aside all like now. the very actuality that it is not occurring proves that u have not killed God.

yes, this is true... Satan is very powerful too and he can do anything just to let us down. But day by day if we seek God's guidance and power He is there for us to save.
