my year old kid consumed half the bottle of benadryl cough syrup

not really ...cough syrups when diluted with water show lesser impact.make the kid have lots of water and yeah keep him on all liquid diet for 2 days.henceforth keep the medicines out of the reach of kids for safety.hope u got ur lesson.

very dangerous especially to children they say not to let kids take benadryl until they are around twelve... and if hes/shes only one you definitely need to get him/her to the hospital right away and call poison control

Yes it does. You should call a poison control center ASAP!!! Take him to the emergency room WITH THE BOTTLE. It can kill him.
