The wall of the left ventricle is thicker than that of the right ventricle because it has to pump the blood into the aorta and to the whole body. Thicker wall means more muscle and this means greater pumping power.

The left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood out through the aorta to the whole body. The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs for oxygenation.

So the left ventricle musculature SHOULD be thicker and stronger. An irregular heartbeat or electrical signal in the left ventricle is MUCH MORE SERIOUS than the same malfunction of the right ventricle.

Right Ventricle: pumps de-oxygenated blood (or impure blood in laymen's terms) from the Right Heart to the NEARBY Lungs (via Pulmonary Arteries).
Left Ventricle: pumps oxygenated blood from the Left Heart to the WHOLE body including to the head, which has to travel in anti-gravity direction & to the farthest areas of our body such as till the ends of our limbs etc. (via Aorta)
In order to perform this comparatively tougher task efficiently Left Ventricle needs (or has been gifted by Nature) stronger/thicker musculature!.

Left ventricle pumps blood from heart to the entire body.So the pressure of pumping should be stronger.Blood thus pumped must go to the brain(while we are erect)agaist gravity.For such a powerful contraction the walls of left ventricle must be thicker and stronger.Other chambers also pump blood but not with the pressure of left ventricle.

The right ventricle just pushes blood out to the lungs, while the left ventricle of the heart has to push blood out to the rest of the body; a much harder task!

The blood pressure sent to the lungs needs to be low, so you do not damage the fragile alveoli. It is good that the right heart pumps less hard than the left.

The left ventricle is exposed to much higher pressures than the right (i think it's approximately 6 times more)

More blood is pumped into and out of the left ventricle, because it receives blood from more veins than the RV, and also pumps it out through more arteries than the RV. I think. I wish I could be more detailed about this, but biology was last year and I don't remember any of it.

bcuz it had a greater job to do than the right ventricle siince it has to pump blood to teh entire body whereas teh right ventricle only has to pump blood to the lungs.

It works harder, thus it gets a better workout and is more 'buff'. To put it in easy to understand layman's terms. It does more 'work' - it has to push the blood all the way thru the body... its a long way from tip to toe! So that side is more developed! Easy, breezy!

because it pumps blood through the aorta and through the rest of the body. to get all the way through the body it has to be strong.
