I do take Aikido though but I want to take Hapkido later on once I become a blackbelt ( a dansha I believe).

Generally... hapkido... the sword... I think: Aikido. Nevertheless... I think you don´t know the UFC:

Hapkido and Aikido masters in UFC?
Noooooooooooooooo.

Which martial arts were and are more effective in UFC and other championships?

Some schools or styles I recomend:

Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Judo.
Milletich Fighting Systems.
Ruas Vale Tudo.
Pancrase.
Muay Thai.
Sambo.

I recommend the Bruce Lee philosophy: take the useful (from any martial art), and keep exploring, but, if you don´t know where you should start... begin practice some martial art that has been used in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

Anyway I recommend explore these martial arts:

Kino mutai.
Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.
Dog Brothers Kali
Aikido
Capoeira
Silat

You can explorer these ones if you visit websites, read newsletters or books... oh yeah, ypu could practice all these ones too... hahahaha. I recommen some sites below:

First learn to defend with your body, then, with your sword... your body always will be with you, your sword maybe... you will be in a restaurant, a street, a party with a sword?... I dont think so, The extensible weapon is portable ans strong. Other weapons like a knife are useful. The kali is a good option, learn kali techiques and you can use these portable weapons.

Hapkido
Everything you listed add it to the tenth power as far as Hapkido is concerned
I've studied Hapkido for six years(Jin Jung Kwan)Have met with the top three grand masters in Korea and the founder of Jin Jung Kwan and trained with them.Nothing or no one could change my mind to the fact that Hapkido is the best rounded Martial art out there. It incorporates all the Korean kicking capabilities with devastating power.I've been in the Martial arts for ten years and have seen some awesome kicks but when I saw the grand masters kicking my jaw hit the floor from there speed and power.Joint manipulation is practical and devastating.Weapons training are for practical weapons(guns knifes) not the stupid ones you will never see out side the school.Ground fighting incorperates throwing ,take downs, submission holds, joint manipulation.

I probably don't like either because I took Aikido and you have to bow down to this Chinese man like he was a God. I'm a Christian so I dropped out.
