arguments are one way thought while discussions are 2 or more ways of thought.... arguments are not problem solving while discussions are to solve issues.....arguments will lead to anger and sadness while discussions will be happy and fulfilling...

A discussion is usually done in a non confrontational manner. Arguments are usually more intense/confrontational.

Discussion, generalised is just talking about a subject matter on diffetent view points.

Arguments on there other hand is then you tell the other person in a non-polite way that there view point is better than any one elses.

Why do we haveto do this, i wont I am not going to.
Why do we have to do this, because these things need to be done for *****BLAH BLAH****reason, completely different sentences. Arguing is violent verbally, discussing, is describing perhaps in an agitated tone..but still reaching for a conclusion.

arguments is opposing to a certain statement while discussion is a purely sharing of ideas and tackling it.
