How do you feel about immagration laws?

I feel like it is illegal an tax-payers pay the ultimate price, but at the same time, this IS stolen land.How do you punish a government without making the tax-payers pay for the goverments mistakes? How do you feel about the immagration battle? Any solutions? Here are some statistics, remember, I AM NOT BIASED IN ANY WAY. Please be nice and refrain form using any derogitory language.

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10 million people) are
working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are
predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3's of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien
Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican
nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely
illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A.County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak
Spanish (10.2 million people in L.A.County).

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops but 29% are on welfare.

Also, these statistics were given to me by e-mail and I am not sure if they are acurate. I do not agree that ALL immigrants are Mexicans as the e-mail says. My family is from all over. Mainly from Trinidad and my half-sister is Hispanic so there is no way I would be racist, that would be horrific.

first off, lets dispell the racism notion.Mexican is NOT a race, it's a nationality. If your black,white,or chinese and your born in mexico your a mexican! Now heres the real deal its called overcrowding and if u don't know how it works think about this. Get a male and female rabbitt, provide everything they need to thrive and call me in a year or two. How are does statistics credible when you dont know exactly how many illegal immigrants are here in the first place? On the tax issue, some immigrants pay taxes. But the money they contribute to our economy is highly above the amount that they could offer by pay for taxes. Also, they pay for social security which they could never get back because they are ILLEGAL. Look, if theses people wanted to become citizens they wouldve done it already. But it isnt that easy. My parents came from Mexico legally which of course took 11 years straight and 2 lawyers. How many illegal immigrants do you really think that much money to pay for these services?Let alone, Can any average American afford this?

ALL land is stolen land. How about in Africa where the white farmers were evicted from farms that had been in their families for centuries? The farms were turned over to black farmers and guess what? In 2002 in one of the worse droughts in african history the white farmers produced 60% more food than the black farmers who were given the farms will produce this year with some of the best rains and weather in decades. It is apparent the blacks are not skilled at farming. As if Africa could afford to lose more food? The world is already feeding half the continent.

The logic in Afica was that the majority of the people should own the majority of the land, farms, business. So white people wer erun off so black people could run the business in the ground. Funny thing, in America Blacks are the minority and they seem to think they should own the Majority of the country. Odd how blacks always seem to want something their way but they are never willing to work for it. it's all about what they can get for free.

And your numbers are wrong. It appears you are trying to deflect the blunt of the criminal activity on the mexicans. But the fact is Black gangs are known for their criminal and murdering ways. There is no way 95% of the warrants are for illegal aliens. Where did you get these numbers. I would like to see the numbers for whites and black included.


So spent a minute lecuring on that if your interested in discussing stolen land.

Stolen Land??? Like there isn't such a thing around the world. I suppose the only unstolen land would be the small parcel of land given to man by nature when man first became man (whether man was evolved or created, either way anything more would be "stollen").

As for the statistics....who knows...I mean if they are here illegally that would mean they didn't get counted as they crossed the border, so who knows the real numbers?

As for the debate, what debate...crossing the border illegally is, well for the lack of a better term..."ILLEGAL". Now that was hard to say. Do they belong here? Not if they are here illegally, if they want to be here, come one over just make yourself legal before you cross in to our country. This is what kills me. in this country we are afraid to tell those breaking the law to abide by it. I know that logistically it is a nightmare to try to round up all of the illegal immigrants and place them back in thier respective countries, so that they may come back legally and be productive in the US. I would say the easiest way to get a lot of thier attentions, is to acctually stop those who hire them, by enforcing the current laws, and criminalizing illegal employment. As for those who seek governement benefits, well that should be quite easy, all the government workers would have to do is thier job. eventually most of the problem would resolve. I know it will never go away (no crime ever does), but enforcement would do a lot.

Yes we came as immigrants but that was more then 200 yrs ago.
Now we like all Countries we put up borders now the only immigrants here should be the ones we allow in.
We should not have to make more laws to keep the illegal immigrants out they are on the books now

I believe that the laws on the books should be enforced and those who are Illegal should be deported to their country of origin either willingly or unwillingly irreguardless of their country of origin. I do not buy the story that they come here for a better life , therefore we should feel sorry for them and give them a pass. Let them be a force for change in their own country if things are so bad. Leaders such as Castro stay in power by letting the ones who are a threat to his power leave the country or be imprisioned. If their were more freedom of thought and poeple really wanted change they would demand change of their leaders. Case in point --- the USSR --- East Germany --- Poland --- China during Tianiman Square --- and the list goes on. Change is not easy, nor is it safe, but it is necessary. Flight from one's country is change. They want change. Let them change, but let them do it in their own home country. If they want to come here , let them apply for a visa.

Well... I am two-sided on this.
I feel that it is good for the US that we are banning it because one we don't want the trouble the immigrants can cause (like drug bands) and two we don't want them taking jobs that us as Americans can and will do for a living.
But on the other hand, if we do have jobs that us stuck up Americans wont do then who is going to do them.
