I am a permanent resident right now, and I obteined it thru my husband, now we're about to get divorce, and right now i was about to apply to the citizenship, would the immigration denied it since I apply and get the residence by marrying a US citizen?

You need to have had the restrictions on permanent residence removed first. As long as you did that, you would still be elligible, even if you got divorced. Also, your permanent residence status would not be revoked.

I just read something about the classificiation for permanent residents, a V class, etc. It looks like you can still be a citizen, but check with the immigration board soon, since 9/11, so much has changed with regards to immigration in this country.

im not sure - but i think it is that u have to stay w/ him util u become an official resident and then after living here for __ number of years and after you become an official citizen u r free to divorce and stay - but i am not positive.
