loose weight slowly (this also means it is more likely to stay off)
and get a skin firming moisturiser so as you loose weight it helps firm your skin and put the elasticity back in your skin.

Beets and skim milk are good for skin turgor (elasticity).
The speed in which one loses the weight is not a cause of the flabby, loose skin afterwards. Age, genetics, amount of weight lost and the individuals unique distribution of fat are the "culprits". The skin is very elastic but is only so resilient. Envision a deflated balloon--the air may be gone but the balloon does not return to its before expansion state. After years of obesity, particularly if it was excessive, the skin will lose its ability to return to its youthful tautness. Shaping the underlying muscle with exercise will give an improved appearance but will not affect the skin itself.
The most common surgery sites after a great weight loss are the upper arms and the abdomen. And maybe a chin tuck or a boob lift. Often times the inner thigh areas need a touch up too.
The best way to treat excess skin after weight loss is not to gain the weight to begin with!!

As you get older your skin looses its elasticity and does not bounce back like it did when younger. This also happens with some people when they loose weight especially if they are very overweight.
Loose it slowly, about 1 - 3 kg per week and eat well.
If you do not understand about correct nourishment in general you will have to do a bit of research on the subject. But basically-
EAT Do not starve yourself. Correct balanced meals are essential (even take some suppliments to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals and protien.
Feed your muscles so that they do not loose condition. If they loose their muscle mass, your metabilism will slow and it will be even harder for you to loose weight.
A little exercise, walking for aerobic to get your circulation going, to burn fat and burn blood sugar. Light weight-training, three times a week to build strength, muscle mass and stronger bones.
Lower your blood sugar by limiting the soft drinks and sweets you eat daily. The occassoinal small treat is ok as you don't want dieting to be tooooooo difficult. DO NOT LET YOUR BLOOD SUGAR GET TOO LOW. It can be very dangerous. If you feel a little light headed or your heart beat is a bit off you will know it is too low. If this happens grab a sugar fix. (Lollies or sugary drink.) You should feel well within a few minutes, if you don't then get to a doctor.
It is a good idea to see a doctor for a check up anyway before you get started. All of this will help but there is no guarantee that you will not get wrinkly skin. Good luck

I think that there is a way. once you lose a little bit of weight and get a little stronger you should start lifting weights so you can tone up. You may have some excess skin left and I am afraid this will need to be fixed by a surgery.

The faster you lose the weight, the harder it is for your skin to recover. Your skin is elastic in nature, but a fast weight loss can result in the skin simply hanging off in folds.
Surgery can remove the excess skin, but if you lose the weight slower, like about two to three poounds a week, it should just return to normal. That is unless your excessivly obese.

If you lose weight quickly, the skin may not "shrink" back as quickly as the weight loss...leaving saggy skin behind in not-so-nice places. Generally speaking, losing weight slowly (1-2 pounds a week) is not only safer for your body, but you're more apt to keep the weight off longer, and your skin is more apt to shrink in sync with the weight loss.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

yes, don't plan on dropping 42 pounds in 2 months, taking it slow will help you keep the weight off too. the best way i've found is to:
1. of course, avoid sugar. switch to diet pop. 86 the cookies, and other snacks that are obviously over the top...
2. hold your hand out in front of you so that it is flat and the fingers are touching, you should eat that much meat per day. ONLY that much. per day, NOT per meal.
3. you should have one hand of veggies
4. one hand of fruit
5. a hand and a half to two hands of grains (try to stick to wheat, whole grain, and oats)
6. and 2-2 1/2 hands of dairy
...
by a hand i mean that size and thickness, not see how much you can pile on that hand...no.
this could take a while to lose much weight, but IT WORKS and you can KEEP IT OFF. plus, you shouldn't have excess skin.

Most people have no choice but to have it surgically removed once they loose the weight. It has more to do with size than time but time does play a factor. The longer your larger the longer the elasticity in your skin is strained.

They can have plastic surgery after wards to tighten their skin. They can exercise while losing weight to help prevent the loose skin also.

If they are losing weight REALLY fast, like from being sick, then surgery may be an option. Usually, though, if you are losing weight, then you need to do strength training and aerobics to keep the muscles and skin toned.
