I sent email to my boy friend, proposed breaking up since his attitudes toward our relation bother me. In his reply, he appologized for things he has done and let me know the reasons, such as "we are far away", " i have some girls but none of them can be compared to u"
At the end of his email " but we can be friends OR ...? "
What does he mean by OR...?
What should I reply him ?

Reply him back and ask him what he meant by the last sentence he sent you. Ask him him what does he mean by OR. You will never know it and you would only have opinions on what he means if you don't ask him.
I would just like to add a comment when your bf said that you are far away from each other. If he really loves you, it is not a valid reason. Let me tell you this, me and my husband (before we got married), we lived so many thousands of miles away from each other. It lasted for two years that we were very far from each other until I joined him in his place. It was because of the great distance we had before (he lives in other side of the world, and I live at the other side). See the distance that we had? But you know what, it became NOT the hindrance to pursue our relationship and got married at the end. Now, we are happily married

how about picking up the phone and talk to the guy? why are you managing your love life via text? although some of the best love stories and letters ever told were letters - but I doubt that your love life will be graced with such achievements.

Call the dude, and ask: "What does the "OR entails?" (if he knows what "entails" means ;-)

If you don't feel it 100%, then suggest no contact for a while. It sounds like you have moved on.

He's leaving it open for you to fill in the blank. Tell him the truth about how you feel. He'll appreciate your honesty.

tell him to go to hell and not to waste your time. but to answer you question, the "or" is implying to be with you. though, it sounds like he's got some girls around already...so don't get played

I would write to him and ask...."Or what?" Breaking up through e-mail doesn't sound cool to me. Maybe you should call him.
