You know what I love? I love it when people who subscribe to the most common religion in America, a religion that affects (whether we want it to or not) the daily decisions of the most powerful political people and political groups in America, the unofficial official religion of the country, get a big ol' victim complex and act like they're oppressed beyond belief whenever anyone does anything that they don't like. Either quit whining or become a member of a real minority group.

That is a one-sided view. Pretty low to use religion and point a finger at Hollywood who HAS NOTHING TO DO with MPAA or the rating system. As a future film-maker, I am disgusted on how some people would use religion, mind you, not faith, to get favorable ratings or reviews from "Hollywood", which isn't quantifiable as far as religion is concern, to begin with.

And now, they cry foul that MPAA slammed a PG on film made by "Christians" 'that depicts 'thematic elements' that MIGTH disturb some parents" obviously they have a reason to do so.

What if they depict sexual acts but enforces the Baptist religion? Would they be pissed if MPAA slam it with an R rating? But it is about religion. Or the badge "Christian" holds more weight than the film's content? Think of how others could exploit that hole Scripps Howard is wishing to open! An adult movie with G rating because it was made by a "Christian" movie makers. Give me a break.

This is one thing I hate about "Christains" who are only Christians if their Religion, not faith, is in question. They are willing to condem BLINDLY those that weren't even responsible for rating.

As a Christian, it offends me how these guys use the word as if their religion is the only one that qualifies as one.

No. Hollywood does not hate Christians. They have popularized different Christian denominations in the past in good light and in bad. One lousy PG rating on an equally lousy-sounding movie does not generalize a hatred against Christians. MPAA only looks out for the content of the movie, not themes, for all religions, Christian and non.

This is from a CHRISTIAN future film maker.

Nope, i do not imagine that hatred is what's of their minds. i imagine that they are so self-dependent that they maintain on with what caters to the way of existence alternatives they opt for. it really is not any secret that fairly some what is going on there is immoral, unlawful, etc., so I doubt that Christianity should be an selection for them. Left wing is common to be more suitable liberal related to social themes, so as that has a tendency to be what they maintain on with. i do not imagine maximum of them are smart sufficient to understand something previous social themes that impression THEM. That being reported, i do not imagine that Christians should be labeled as proper wing inevitably. i should be an get mutually of someone who's devoutly Christian AND is interior the middle with leanings to the left. I quite have worked over the years with those who did no longer have many opportunities and were residing a existence that i do not desire on all people - that existence adventure has made it perplexing for me to be fairly so black and white about social/moral themes. Makes it not hassle-free to guage others and dictate how they ought to stay their lives. The worst area about the people in Hollywood is they imagine that individuals supply a crap about their perspectives. i'm drained about listening to them spout off about it - they fairly want to maintain in mind that the reason we take exhilaration in them is for his or her appearing ability.

Nope, they are pretty intolerant of Christians, that is for sure. But do not be too critical. There are some powerful believers in Hollywood too. They are just real quiet about it.

They pretend and appear to be liberal and open minded about spirituality but I really believe many of the celebrities and such have no idea what that is and frankly they probably do not care, because those teachings do not fit their lifestyle and behaviors.

I dont see how the rating hurts the movie and I dont see how this equates to anyone hating Christians.

I think Hate is the key here and that someone is stirring it.

Good Luck and God Bless!!
