Ever since I can remember I have been interested in strange things. My grandparents were preachers and there are many many preachers and gospel singing groups in my family. My dad was a very strong fearless christian. But I have always been diferent than teh rest of the family. I love God and Jesus don't get me wrong but I have always had this desire to know about the other side too. I have old school work books from when I was in 1st. grade and wrote stories about ghosts and vampires. Why am I like that? Is this just a morbid facination? My grandmother died 2 months before I was born and my dad says I am very much like her. We like to do the same things. She was Cherokee Indian. Could I have inharited something from her that makes me so interested? My dad, aunts, sisters, and grandma all have or had this way of knowing things or even dreaming things. I have had it since I was little. It used to scare me very bad. My last experience was 2 nights ago. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about, but if it is preminitions, prophecies, then it is a blessing from God, and I would pray about it. You say you love God, so surround your experiences and interests in God. I wouldn't focus on Vampires and stuff, because that isn't Godly, but anything else, is probably a gift from God. Pray and listen, he'll help you!

Your not the only one . Im the same way . I have cherokke Indian blood in my family as well . I write songs , poems , stories , and i draw . Everything i write and everything i draw has death in it . Im in love with horror movies and my dreams do come true . If i dream about death or someone getting mad at me it comes true . But if i dream about good things then it doesnt come true . I have had one good dream that came true . Ever since my parents died i've been obsesed with revenge . When my grandma died my dreams grew . They became worse . The sad part to all this is that im only 15 years old . I'll be 16 in 5 months .I'm also really good at finding things . No one can hide anything from me , not even secrets . I know when someones mad and I know when someones sad . I've been told that i'm my own person . Dont get me wrong or anything but im way stranger than you . I was born like this . No one in my family is like this . Im the only one . I've also been told that im uniqe , I believe i am . I may be weirder then weird but im the nicest person you will ever meet . I will do anything for anyone ,infact i do everything for everyone .I never turn down a dare either . Im one of kind . So dont worry your not alone .

I think it is fascination. Just because you are interested in ghosts and vampires doesn't make you impure or love your religion any less. It's always good to learn about things and practice skills. You are fine, don't worry.

But I don't like how you had to mention your grandmother being Cherokee. People forget that Native Americans are people, not spiritual earth-talkers who wear feathers and speak with buffalo similes all the time. There are the dance festivals where they celebrate their heritage, but that's pretty much it. The rest of them go to school and have jobs and don't talk to the wolf spirit.

It is in human nature to be fascinated with the unknown, so really, it's okay if you're fascinated with vampires and ghosts and enjoy watching Harry Potter movies even, and still remain Christian. As for your special abilities, there really isn't anything wrong with being an "intutive" Christian, is there? I'd have you warned though, that these gifts bear a corresponding responsibility and purpose. Let your faith serve as your guide here. Keep searching for the truth. Peace.

If you love God and Jesus, then you will stay away from such things as spiritism. If you want to look at the "other side", the Bible has far more to gain from than you can possibly hold. I have been studying it for 35 years, and it is beyond fascinating learning of the things that are of eternity. Read my studies below for a taste...

No, you are not different. I feel the same way. I have told my siblings, about these feelings, of being different. I am the oldest of 4 children, with last being twins. I'm also interested, in the other side. Also I'm interested, in the brain. The way, that the universe, the brain, and the other side, are all connected. The trinity.........I say no more.Sharon P.

Being brought up in a Christian household you were familiar with it, maybe even too familiar. So in response you spread out to different interests. Nothing was inherited.

Now you may be focusing too much attention so that now you are experiencing nightmares, so maybe backing off might be in order. But it is human nature to seek out different interests other than what one grew up with.

There is a constant battle in man between the forces of good and evil and also a constant battle in the supernatural realm between God and the devil. You should never dabble in the occult as the devil uses these devices to gain demon possession.Try to divert yourself by praying daily, going to church and reading the bible.God will take care of the rest.Of course Satan wants to pick on you because of your blood line of Christians and he hates Christians.

You are just interested in a subject. Nothing is wrong with that. Some people want to learn more about insects and wild life and others want to learn about history, such as the holocaust, of course this doesnt mean that it is wrong you are just interested. Keep feeding your interests.

I dont see this as a problem. Most of the great minds of our time and before have visions and are not seeing the world the same as "normal".

Good Luck and God Bless!!
