Bicarbonate of soda (baking soda). Mix about 1/3 teaspoon in about a cup of water. Wait for the powder to dissolve. It tastes a bit like salt water. It will instantly neutralize the acid in your stomach. (It'll make you belch! But that sure beats the discomfort of stomach acid.)

Drink a full glass of water,if that does not help and you don't have tums or pepto bismol then you can mix a half tsp of baking soda in water and drink it, that is if you are not on a sodium restricted diet

I take an anti-nausea medicine called Emetrol. It's a very sugary syrup (don't take it if you're diabetic) but it works really quickly.

besides tums, mints (like after dinner mints or lifesavers mints) work almost as well, but not as quickly
