There is no problem. It could be worse. Purring is a sign of happiness and contentment in cats. The cat loves you and desires your affection.

I have a 1 year old male Himalayan that purrs CONSTANTLY! It only increases when we pick him up or pet him.

Enjoy it!

He is a very affectionate, but slightly mentally challenged kitten. It's all right he can still lead a perfectly enjoyable life even tho he purrs/meows/vibrates at the same time... Wait this is a kitten right? ....

My 8 week old kitten Worm, purrs like that. I've never seen anything like it. We have 6 cats he's the only one who makes such a racket, when purring. I think it's so cute.

he's happy, that's all. some cats purr quietly, some cats sound like a chainsaw running.

we have a maine coon named Hobbes. he tips the scale at around 30 pounds. he sleeps with my wife and i. i don't know what is worse in the middle of the night, her snoring or his purring.

i wouldn't worry about your kitten. we have 7 outside cats. they go all the way from an inaudible purr---you can feel her purring but you can't hear it, to Hobbes' monster chainsaw purr. i think its all normal.
