Contrary to popular belief, being Jewish is NOT a requirement. Under the LAW of RETURN, anyone of Jewish descent is automatically granted citizenship. Non-Jews have other requirements to become citizens. Contact an Israeli consulate for that information.

You must be a Jew and if you are not you may convert but if that is the case usually it must be done by a conservative or an orthdox Rabbi. The Rabbi must be reconized by the state of Israel.
