How do I get him to take me out some place nice, like a restaraunt or something?

I'm sort of with this guy. I met him at walmart. Whenever we get together, I just go to his place and we watch movies and fool around and stuff. The only time we ever go out anywhere is when we have to go to walmart to pick something up or something. We've only been seeing each other for like 3 weeks, but I'd really like for him to take me out to a fancy dinner or something. Not something super expensive, just something better than McDonalds! I don't know how to get him to take me out without telling him that straight up. The only thing though is that he doesn't really have a lot of money. So how can I get him to want to take me out, or am I just expecting too much and should just forget about it?

you know you should talk to him about the situation by saying that you like long walks in the park or listening to concerts or whatever! You know say that you'd like to see sunset with him outside! I don't know!
You can be more straightforward and ask him what you can expect from this relationship.

Mention a nice (not too expensive) restaurant to him and "hint" it to him. Consider his budget. Some guys are just really cheap. And theres NO way changing that lol.

As long as you guys are happy together, then I dont see any reason why you cant continue dating this way. Also consider how long you have been going out. Maybe before your next annerversity, you can tell him
"I know our ___ year annerversity is coming up soon and I would really like to go to _________ for dinner. What do you think?" or how ever you want to word it. if you cant communicate on where you WANT to go to eat, then you might have a diffucult time later.
