For some unknown reason, I have a problem with belching non-stop, even though I eat or drink....or haven't eaten. What could cause excessive belching and what can someone do to stop it?

My Mother had uncontrollable belching as well, she was often embarassed by the force of them too! She had hiadus (sp) hernia. She was told there is no point in operating because it will come back. The other term used for it is hiadel (again, sp) hernia as well. She spent the rest of her life taking ridiculous amounts of antacids because she developed horrific heartburn to go with it!
I have since found a product that vastly improves this condition...contact me if you are interested.

My cousin belches a lot, and it is because she has acid reflux. Maybe you should get checked for that.

eating to fast causes a gas build up in the stomach that can stay there for a while, try changing your eating habits and have a glass of water with your food that helps sometimes
