I have tried different sinus rinses, all sorts of drugs, herbal cleansing, rehabilitation, acupuncture.....and I am tired of it. Does anyone have anything else out of the ordinary that they have tried, and it has actually worked for them? I am so tired, I get sick and worn out at least 1-2 times a week. I drag myself thru the day alot. I am just tired of feeling like this all the time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you need a window operation done by an E. N. T doctor. Was that the surgery you had? If not, ask about it from a board certified ear, nose and throat doctor. Also there is a new stealth technology that guides surgical instruments for potentially more accurate and effective sinus surgery. See the article on the web about this new mapping system at the Medical college of Wisconsin surgeons at Froedtert Hospital.

I too suffered as you do...now I live in the Philippines where the flora is different an I am free from the nightmare.
However, when I live in the USA...I also tried every medicine on the market, doctor after doctor with little or brief help.
Then I went to a old old doctor and he was so direct and simple I thought a first he was a loony. But he simply said , make a solution of table salt and water, suck it up your nose 2 times a day and spit out the pollen an Flem. IT WORKS GREAT. in 2-3 days of doing this you will be symptom free. I must warn you, this frickin hurts. Ever been to the beach an sucked salt water up your nose? Yeah it hurts. But I swear to you if you do this daily you will be rid of the horrors of Allergies and Sinusitis.

Have you been tested for allergies? They can really mess with your sinuses. If you are having an allergic reaction, it can be what is your on going sinus trouble. I too had surgery, maxillary, and it helped me, but I still do have problems off and on. Finally was tested for allergies and they are the cause. My specialist gave me a spray called Astelin (it is not habit forming nor is it a steroid) and I also take Singulair. They have made a world of difference for me!

Strange thing about allergies . . . some of them are caused by your environment (such as Russian Olive Trees, pollen, pollution, et cetera); others are caused by medications (such as: Penicillin, Lorotab, et cetera), and even still, some are caused by the things you eat. The most notorious allergic reactions to food are apparent: puffiness, inability to breathe, up to and including death. If surgeries and medications haven't helped, maybe your problem is something you're constantly eating?
Your food allergy could be pretty much anything: corn, wheat, sugar, dairy products, et cetera . . . so perhaps what you're allergic to is what's causing your sinusitis. Finding and eliminating such an nuisance could relieve your symptoms altogether, but it's up to you to discover what that allergy is. You may be able to find a nutritionist who can refer you to a doctor (of sorts) to do some blood tests to help you find that allergy, to take some of the guess work out of the process. It's just an idea, but I hope it helps.

Maybe it's what you're eating. I found that milk and certain milk chocolates cause my sinuses to really cause me problems. I almost had surgery on them, but found this out first. Milk products like ice cream, cheese, etc. are all culprits. Try cutting them out of your diet for about a week and see if it clears up. Vanilla Soy milk is a really good milk substitute. I really hope this helps you! :)

Maybe it's where you live. I live in Kentucky, and allergies here are notoriously bad. Sometimes a change of location can be all you need.
