If you go here you will find many "recipes": http://onibasu.com/blog/2005/05/homemade-shampoo-conditioner.html It seems that a majority contain vinegar or baking soda. Seems like a fun project, I might try some myself!

your worth it, do your self a favor and go buy Sabestain products at smart style salon inside wal-mart's, round ten, then the conditioner is a little more. and delute the shampoo, half cup distilled water, half cup shampoo, shake well but use only about one ounce at a time. if it doesn't lather good, wash again. then towel dry and use only a dimes worth of posion #9 leave in 5 minutes and rinse with cold water. it smells good and is good for your hair and will help it grow too....good luck...you can make a homemade soap for your face and body, three forths cup of olive oil and one forth cup of dawn liquide dish soap, stir well, put in closed container and enjoy. that much should last 2 weeks, you body will love you, on the face you might want to add baking soda to the mixture and scrub softly with your fingertips for a minute, then rinse rinse finse....you'll be a new person

the only one i have heard of is mixing mayo and eggs, then after you mix it put it all over your head then wrap up with plastic wrap and let sit for about 15-20 minutes, then wash out...
