When I first heard about Islam, I tried very hard to become a Muslim, but it didn't work out for me. I felt very disappointed & sought out Catholicism. But, I always remained drawn to Islam. Christianity also left me feeling incomplete, I eventually found my path in what we know as "Paganism."
I celebrate God through good acts towards ALL His creatures. I light candles, meditate, pray, & give thanks for all His gifts. Everyday I discover something new & everyday my love & faith for God grows. I believe I worship the same God everyone else does, only in a different way.
Now, after that description, I wonder, how am I viewed by Muslims, Christians, Jews, etc.? I have many friends of different religions, & I love studying different beliefs, but none ever want to discuss the topic with me. I'm curious, do they see me as some satanic idolater?
I would love to know how other people view me & my lifestyle, knowledge is the only way to grow.
Thanks in advance & Peace Be With You.

I am Pagan in the sense that I do not follow the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, or Judaism). As far as my beliefs, they are, put as simply as possible, to be a good person through good acts towards other humans, animals, & nature. I, like many other Pagans, see elements of God in the natural world.

God is everything and everything is God … the world is either identical with God or in some way a self-expression of his nature.
Everything that exists constitutes a "unity" and this all-inclusive unity is in some sense divine.
Every existing entity is, only one Being; and that all other forms of reality are either modes (or appearances) of it or identical with it.
You are evidence that there is hope for mankind yet.

I was raised in a catholic school, but I never felt connected to it. I dident beleive in God back then very much. I felt it was 'forced. When I went to highschool Ibecame a pagan, and I started researching different religions. I became a pagan, and started taking part in my native american pagan culture and beleifs. I was a Pagan for many years after that and at the time I felt it was best for me.
I became a Christian, and a follower of Jesus Christ this past year.
I do not view you as any different than anybody else. I beleive that we are all sinners! And Jesus died for all people, and once I opened my heart to the true word of God, I felt such a peace come over me, unlike any other peace that I had ever felt in my pagan path. I felt such a close connection to god, like I could ask for forgiveness, for guidance and worship constantly! My like was forever changed once I realised that Jesus died for my sins.

I think you should believe in whatever you want, regardless of outside pressure. What you are doing is great. From a religious person's perspective, at least you are monotheistic in that you believe in one god and worship him in a way. As long as you have faith and act in a good way, I think it's probably viewed positively by most people, except for the more extreme religious zealots. I'm glad that you enjoy studying many beliefs, because most people here who talk about other religions know nothing of the other religions or are very close-minded.

I look at you with love and compassion. I admire that you love all God's creatures and God's people. I also pray for you and hope that you will eventually find what I know to be the truth, that no man comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. While it would be nice if it were different, this is the way God has laid out for us. Independent Bible study and guided Bible study, church fellowship, and meditation/prayer will help you discover the truth should you wish to take that path. God bless you.

As a Christian, You need to be reconciled to God the Father through Jesus Christ the Son. Jesus is the Way.This is God's Salvation plan. I'm sure you do a lot of good things & writes like your a considerate person. But all have sinned & come short of God's glory. Your a Sinner needing a Savior, & Jesus died on the cross for you & paid for your sin. He raised from the dead for your justification. Love the creator who created you.

well, frankly, i have no hard feelings against you, but why do you partially turn away from Islam? it is perfect in every way. i mean i think that it is good that you are drawn to Islam, but why would you partially turn away from it. what do you mean by "it didn't work out"? if you have questions, its okay we always have answers, but all you have to do is ask. however, to answer your question, you are viewed as a good guy/girl who is just confused about some things you didn't fully understand, so you decided to follow a "part of every religion". though it isn't right we view you as any other person.

From your description, the only difference between what you believe and my understanding of basic Christianity is that your system leaves out Christ- You still believe in a Supreme Being who gives us all we have, you speak to Him (pray), etc.
I am Christian and I also enjoy expanding my understanding of others' views, so long as no one is trying to convert anyone else... ;)

To the extremists from any of those religions, you're probably seen as a heretic or an infidel, fit only to be eliminated.
To the normal believers, you're just a person who believes something different.

Can't answer for the other religions, but from first hand experience, I can tell you that the Christians will probably vilify you.....they seem to do this to most non Christians, including me....and I'm comfortably agnostic!
