Will the abortion make me sterile?

No. An abortion should not affect your fertility and you can become pregnant
again after two weeks.

If the bleeding is light (spotting), the blood mixes with vaginal secretions and becomes brown in color

What should I do if my breasts seem to be developing milk?

If you have this complaint, do not do anything. Do not express the milk by
squeezing the breasts. When the hormone levels return to normal, the breasts
will also return to normal. However, if the breasts are also very painful, you
may take Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Can a woman still be pregnant after having an abortion?

Yes, however we prevent this possible complication by examining the pregnancy tissue immediately after the procedure. This exam confirms that the patient is no longer pregnant. The tissue is also sent to a pathologist for a final report.

Abortions can cause a lot of scarring and it can make it difficult for a woman to have a baby. What I cannot understand is why a woman would want to kill a bunch of babies and then finally decide to give birth.

Like someone esle had said, she may not carry a baby to full term or have a miscarriage.

See, now she may want a baby, but won't be able to have one.

Never do abortions, give the baby to someone who wants a baby and can't have any of thier own.

A fertility book I read said that a woman can have a lot of abortions in her first trimester and should be ok, it's farther into the pregnancy that can cause later problems

What's "too many"?

A single abortion, done safely and cared for after appropriately, will not affect your ability to have a baby later.

Even multiple abortions, under the same circumstances, shouldn't substantially alter future fertility.

When you have an abortion it causes you to get scar tissue on the inside of your uterus....making it difficult for a future egg to implant itself in the future (they cannot attach to scar tissue). If she does concieve, then she's lucky. As for effecting the normality of the child, the baby will be fine.

It depends on if there is a lot of scar tissue built up from the previous abortions. That tissue can interfere with the pregnancy process.

I know a friend of a friend that has been on chemo for years, she has had 4 abortions, last one a few weeks ago, (she got pregnant by a guy with one testicle, who is also on chemo for testicular cancer) and she just got pregnant again! Anything can happen!

yes, my older sister has had 6-7 miscarriages in her life so far and she had a daughter who is 4 now. It's very possible, don't give up if you really want a child then you can still have one. Keep the faith.
