It's Summer vacation for me and I don't wanna waste time just sitting around. I want to sit down and read some tutorlais on how to do things I don't know about. The thing is, I don't HAVE to do this, so it makes it hard to actually go through with it. I mean I really WANT to learn new things, but I lack the motivation. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is what i do.. I call a friend up and tell her to call me later on in the day and ask me what i got done that day and i would do the same for her, somehow it works, i guess because i don't want to tell her i did nothing . Try it

Get a part-time or volunteer job. Something to get you up and moving. I find that if I sleep in I am less likely to be productive throughout the day. Get up early, get out and keep moving along.

Break it up into small segments to accomplish at a time. Make a schedule and stick to it....then go have fun.

Set up a reward system. For example: every time you complete one tutorial, you get to go to a movie.

Break it up into pieces. Make it a bunch of small goals instead of one big one and its easier to manage.

... learning new things on your own is dull and uninspiring ... find a class so that you can be with others while you learn ... it's the only way ...
